C2A has today had to make the devastating decision to make XXX supported employees\u00a0redundant.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This decision was not made lightly. As an organisation,\u00a0economic challenges\u00a0meant that our XX site\u00a0was no longer\u00a0viable.\u00a0We have made cutbacks in order to retain as many employees as we can, and we are deeply saddened by this outcome.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At C2A, we value each and every member of our team. We will provide wraparound support to them and their families.<\/p>\n

We are hoping to redeploy some staff to\u00a0our other sites,\u00a0and we will also\u00a0be working with National Disability Services and local\u00a0DES\u00a0providers to identify other employment opportunities\u00a0to seamlessly transition\u00a0our people.<\/p>\n

To ensure none of those impacted are left in the dark,\u00a0we will remain in clear communication into their next chapter and provide as much support as possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This will be the only round of redundancies the organisation plans to make in the foreseeable future and our priority is to stabilise and grow into the future.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

We are deeply saddened by the death of a person in our care and express our deepest sympathies to the family at this difficult time. <\/p>\n

Our CEO has visited the victim’s family and will continue to keep in close contact with them following this tragedy. We will provide wraparound support including counselling and [any other key services you could offer] to them for as long as they need.<\/p>\n

We are working with Police, WorkSafe Victoria and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission to ensure a thorough external investigation is undertaken around the circumstances of the death. We also immediately launched an internal investigation following this incident. <\/p>\n

Our focus remains on caring for those impacted including our other clients and their families and our employees to ensure they receive the appropriate psychological care and any personal leave they need.<\/p>\n

C2A is committed to delivering high-quality, safe services for all individuals we support and employ. Our disability support workers are highly trained to provide participant focused, safe and ethical supports and services, ensuring the individual needs of our people are met to the highest standards.<\/p>\n

As an NDIS registered organisation, we consistently conduct thorough risk assessments of all sites and equipment used in our workplace. <\/p>\n

We undergo regular external audits to ensure compliance, refine processes and uphold industry best practices, instilling confidence in our systematic approach to quality assurance and health and safety.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, we will run a full review of all our practices, policies and procedures to see what improvements we can make and overhaul where necessary.<\/p>\n
